MATHEMATICS PROGRAM OUTCOMES
By the end of the program, graduates should be able to
- Demonstrate the ability to solve problems by using techniques from calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, probability and statistics,
- Demonstrate the ability to use mathematics to construct, analyze and interpret mathematical models,
- Demonstrate the ability to apply mathematics to the solutions of problems,
- Have a basic knowledge of economics, information sciences and social sciences,
- Have an ability to write computer programs and use algorithms for solving problems,
- Have a basic knowledge of the main fields of mathematics, including analysis, algebra, differential equations, and differential geometry,
- Have the ability to function both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team,
- Communicate effectively in both written and oral formats,
- Attain a recognition of the need for and the ability to engage in life-long learning,
- Have the ability to recognize the importance of ethics in professional life.
