The Doctor of Philosophy Program in Electronics Engineering consists of formal coursework, passing a qualifying exam, presentation of a dissertation proposal and successful defense of a dissertation. The program requires a minimum of 21 credit hours of coursework for students entering the program with a Master of Science degree or a minimum of 42 credit hours of coursework for students entering the program with a Bachelor of Science degree. Every PhD candidate must take a minimum of 12 credit hours of coursework from graduate level EE coded courses. Registration in any course requires advisor approval.
