Graduate Program in Painting is a program that trains to the level of expertise in the field of art.
The program aims to nurture future artists with a solid background in contemporary art, art theory and application skills, enabling students to produce original works within their individual artistic experience.
The future prospects of the program include cultivating well-educated artists as well as training qualified artists and artist-instructors who would certainly help solve the shortage in the required fields in our artistic environment and our educational institutions.
The program requires a minimum of 26 credits of formal coursework (six compulsory courses and two elective course), a graduate seminar course and the completion of a Master's thesis. The graduate seminar course and thesis are non-credit and are graded on a pass/fail basis. The program language is Turkish; hence course descriptions below are given in Turkish.
