Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Hasan Bülent Kahraman, Participates as a Panelist at the Tourism Investment Forum

At the Tourism Investment Forum, organized by the Turkish Tourism Investors Association, a session titled "Art, Soft Power, and the World" was held.

The session, moderated by Ali Güreli, Chairman of Contemporary Istanbul, featured our university's Rector, Prof. Dr. Hasan Bülent Kahraman, as one of the panelists.
"We Must Critically Evaluate the Concept of Culture That Cannot Be Separated from Tourism"

Highlighting the increasing significance of the concept of "Soft Power" in today's world, Prof. Dr. Hasan Bülent Kahraman emphasized that nations' economic strength prevents direct conflicts. He also stressed the inseparable relationship between culture and tourism, stating:
"It is now imperative that we critically evaluate the concept of culture that cannot be separated from tourism and tourism that cannot be separated from culture. Without an interdisciplinary approach that integrates both, it is no longer possible for a society to establish its presence within another purely through tourism or culture alone."
