Academic Appointment and Promotion Ceremony

An Academic Appointment and Promotion Ceremony was held to honor our faculty members who have been appointed as Professors and those who have been awarded the title of Emeritus Professor.

The ceremony recognized the professorial appointments of:

• Aslı Taşbaşı from the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences (İİSBF)
• Özlem Kayhan Pusane from the Department of International Relations
• Seda Demiralp from the Department of International Relations
   

Additionally, the title of Emeritus Professor was conferred upon:

• Prof. Dr. Elman Hasanoğlu from the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences
• Prof. Dr. İzzet Cem Göknar from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering
• Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kaytaz from the Department of Economics, İİSBF

During the ceremony, Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Bülent Kahraman personally presented the professorial robes to the newly appointed professors. Commemorative plaques were awarded by Board of Trustees President Mehmet Serdar Sarıgül, Deputy Chair of the Board of Trustees Necdet Şenkal, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Volkan Günay, and İİSBF Dean Prof. Dr. Serhat Koloğlugil.
