TÜBİTAK 2237-A "Landscape Design in Historical Environments" Training Program

26 July 2024

Our university is participating in the "Landscape Design in Historical Environments Training Program," which will take place in Mardin from July 29 to August 3, 2024, as part of the TÜBİTAK 2237-A Scientific Training Activities Support Program, managed by the TÜBİTAK Scientist Support Programs Directorate (BIDEB).

The event is being organized under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Adnan Uzun from our Faculty of Art, Design, and Architecture, Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design. Additionally, Prof. Dr. Eva Şarlak, one of our faculty members, will contribute as a Scientific Board Member and trainer, specializing in Cultural Landscape Studies.

Experts from various universities, including FMV Işık University, Ege University, Bartın University, and Mardin Artuklu University, will take part in the event. Institutions such as the International Design Foundation Mardin Branch and the Landscape Architecture Science and Education Association will also participate.

Bringing together professionals from diverse disciplines—including Landscape Architecture, Interior Architecture, Architecture, Archaeology, and Art History—the event will provide students from different universities across Turkey the opportunity to collaborate on projects specific to the region.

Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Adnan Uzun and Prof. Dr. Eva Şarlak, this significant program aims to offer new perspectives on landscape design in historical environments while equipping participants with valuable hands-on experience.
