Visual Communication Design Students Return with Awards from an International Competition

Students from the Faculty of Art, Design, and Architecture, Department of Visual Communication Design have achieved remarkable success at the International Pangram Font and Calligraphy Student Competition held in Ukraine.

• Alumna Mehlika Güleda Turgut won second place in the "Art Alphabet" category and received a "Diploma" award for her graduation project, the "Mimar Sinan Font."
• Hilal Engin, a student in the Experimental Typography course, received a "Diploma" award in the "Art Alphabet" category.
• Taha Atacan Yıldırım and Tarık Başaran, students from the Typography course, received a "Diploma" award in the "Decorative Font" category for their jointly designed "Anıtkabir" font.
