Youth Mental Health Talks Held at Our University

The Youth Mental Health Talks event, held at our Maslak Campus, focused on addiction and organ donation, providing valuable insights to attendees.

Clinical Psychologist Gözde Ceylan, from our Psychological Counseling and Guidance Center, discussed the role of emotions in the development of behavioral addictions, emphasizing that unmanaged emotions can create a foundation for addictive behaviors.

Clinical Psychologist Hasan Karatay, from the Yeşilay Counseling Center, gave a presentation on gambling addiction, explaining how such addictions develop and strategies for overcoming them.

Social Worker Şahander Akçay, also from the Yeşilay Counseling Center (YEDAM), introduced YEDAM’s initiatives and support services. Additionally, Dr. Ece Peker from the Sarıyer District Health Directorate highlighted the importance of organ donation, providing participants with detailed information on the topic. At the end of the session, participants who received their organ donation cards were presented with a commemorative badge.
