Directorate of Documentation and Archives

The Directorate of Documentation and Archives at Işık University plays a key coordination role in managing interdepartmental and interinstitutional document processes in electronic environments, in line with modern requirements. It upholds the mission of digital archiving and institutional memory preservation.
The Directorate is responsible for organizing and preserving internal and external correspondence of the university according to the Standard File Plan, while also managing the institutional archival system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Archiving documents in accordance with the Standard File Plan,
  • Ensuring easy access to documents,
  • Overseeing all correspondence processes in compliance with legal regulations,
  • Managing the production, circulation, and approval of documents within the University’s Electronic Document Management System (EBYS),
  • Enhancing the efficiency of document management processes,
  • Ensuring the continuity of institutional memory and information sharing.

The Directorate of Documentation and Archives also supports academic and administrative units by ensuring that all correspondence processes within the university remain organized and transparent.
