Why Işık Economics

Işık University Department of Economics aims for its students to become economists who can serve the economic sectors. Our core program focuses on preparing our students for the rapidly changing conditions of the global economy and business world. Our department is aware of the need for a qualified workforce in the economic sectors and attaches great importance to our students acquiring modern qualitative and quantitative professional skills and being sensitive to professional ethics and environmental issues.

Our graduates work especially in the fields of trade, banking, insurance, finance and auditing. Some of our graduates have also chosen to pursue graduate and doctoral studies.

Işık University Department of Economics program is highly selective and requires a four-year education for the bachelor's degree. The medium of instruction is English.
