Message from the Dean

serhat-kologlugil

The mission of our faculty is to cultivate leaders who can comprehend and manage the economic, social, managerial, and behavioral impacts of technological advancements, with reference to the fundamental technological trends shaping today and the future.

Our vision is to create a 21st-century faculty of technology-focused social and administrative sciences.

The Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences is committed to equipping its students with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop effective solutions to contemporary and future challenges, adapt easily to changing conditions, and foster independent thinking. Instilling creativity, dynamism, and self-confidence in our students is one of our core principles.

Our faculty members have earned their doctoral degrees from leading universities in Turkey and around the world and are internationally recognized academics engaged in high-level research and publications in their respective fields. Our faculty’s philosophy views research and education not as separate domains but as interconnected components of a shared process. Therefore, both our undergraduate and graduate students acquire not only professional knowledge but also critical inquiry and research competencies.
In line with FMV Işık University’s education philosophy, which values creativity, our faculty offers students the opportunity to take a wide range of elective courses in addition to mandatory core courses. This allows students to shape their education according to their interests and gain multidisciplinary academic experience. Our students also have the option to pursue double majors and minors, with a particular emphasis on obtaining minor certificates.

Like all other faculties and departments of Işık University, the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences is dedicated to educating students who uphold the principles of Atatürk, embrace a secular and contemporary identity, adhere to academic and ethical values, and contribute to Turkey and the world as diligent and principled individuals.
