International Relations Students

  • Ceren Keser, a student from the Department of International Relations, participated in the New York Institute of Technology visit in September 2015 as a member of Işık University Honor Council.
  • İpek Bakkalcı from the Department of International Relations participated in the International Trade Mission project between March 5 - 11, 2016.
  • Ceren Keser from the Department of International Relations attended the Model European Union program in Strasbourg between 2-9 April 2016.
  • Students of the Department of International Relations participated in the Ankara trip organized by the International Relations Club and accompanied by Assist. Prof. Dr. Ödül Celep between 27 February and 1 March. During the trip, they met with institutions such as the Turkish Grand National Assembly, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the United Nations, as well as the four political parties represented in the Parliament.
  • Işık students participated in “EUROSIMA 2012” organized at METU.
  • During their visit to the Turkish Grand National Assembly in 2012, students from the Department of International Relations met with AKP and CHP deputies.
  • Işık students attended the conference on “Threats and Opportunities in the Region” organized by the Turkish Textile Industry Employers' Union in Antalya in 2011.
  • Students of the department visited Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania to observe post-Soviet democracy and visited the President of the Constitutional Court of Latvia accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rabia Karakaya Polat, Head of the Department of International Relations.
  • International Relations students participated in the European Union Simulation “EUROSIMA 2011” held at METU in Ankara.
  • Işık students participated in the United Nations Simulation Conference “UN-Model 2010”.
  • Department students participated in observation activities during the 2010 Brazilian General Elections.
  • Students of the Department of International Relations visited Princeton and Yale Universities and evaluated the results of the 2008 US Presidential elections.
  • International Relations student Dilek Özbeşleroğlu visited the Democratic Party campaign office in New Heaven during the 2008 US Presidential elections.
