Logistics Management (English)

Logistics Management

Logistics is one of the oldest fields of business science. It started with the movement of people from one place to another (migration or military purposes) and trade. Today, logisticians are experts who organize and coordinate the system that enables a product to be delivered from the producer to the consumer, in other words, the supply chain of an organization. They manage the emergence, distribution, and delivery of a product, i.e. the entire life cycle of the product. Logistics experts oversee the activities of purchasing, transportation, storage, warehousing, stocking and delivery to the end user. They manage the movement of products and people from one place to another, ranging from a simple product to military equipment.

Although logistics is mostly considered within the framework of the manufacturing industry and retailing, it has a wider scope. There is a need for logistics experts in many sectors such as energy, finance, communication and information technologies, including the public sector. With the increase in international trade and transportation activities, the demand for qualified logistics personnel is increasing.

The Logistics Management program is designed with these needs in mind, in a way to create a synergy with the international trade program on the basis of business administration and with an emphasis on international quality.
