PhD (Doctorate) Program in Electronic Engineering

The requirements of the PhD Program in Electronic Engineering include completing the official coursework, passing the PhD qualifying exam, defending a PhD thesis proposal, and successfully defending the PhD dissertation.

For students entering the PhD program with a master’s degree, the required coursework consists of 21 credit hours. For those entering with a bachelor’s degree, the requirement is 42 credit hours.

All PhD candidates must complete at least 12 credit hours from graduate-level electronic engineering courses. The remaining coursework may be taken from other graduate programs with the approval of the graduate advisor.
