Master’s Program in Accounting and Auditing (Thesis/Non-Thesis, Turkish)

About the Program

The Işık University Accounting and Auditing Master’s Program is designed for professionals who:

  • Plan to pursue a career in accounting and auditing
  • Aim to work in dependent or independent accounting roles
  • Currently work in upper-level institutions but want to further their expertise without disrupting their professional commitments

The program is open to graduates of business administration, economics, finance, and econometrics and to professionals working in accounting and finance. It provides foundational and advanced training for those specializing in internal auditing, independent auditing, and forensic accounting, helping them gain international-level knowledge and expertise.

In addition to theoretical education, students engage in discussions and case studies with experienced faculty members from the industry, allowing them to develop problem-solving perspectives for real-world challenges in accounting and auditing.

Program Structure

Thesis-Based Program (24 months)
Graduation requirements:

  • 21 credit hours (7 courses: 1 core, 6 electives)
  • Non-credit seminar course
  • Master’s thesis
  • Students conduct research on a business-related topic under faculty supervision and defend their thesis before a jury at the end of the program

Non-Thesis Program (12 months)
Graduation requirements:

  • 30 credit hours (10 courses: 1 core, 9 electives)
  • Non-credit term project (evaluated as pass/fail upon completion)
