The Master’s Program in Industrial Engineering – Operations Research can be completed as either a thesis-based or non-thesis program.
Thesis-Based Program
The coursework consists of:
Students must complete at least 12 credit hours from graduate-level IE-coded courses, of which 6 credits may come from advanced undergraduate IE courses. The remaining 9 credit hours can be completed from other graduate programs.
Non-Thesis Program
The coursework consists of:
Students must complete at least 15 credit hours from graduate-level IE-coded courses, of which 9 credits may come from advanced undergraduate IE courses. The remaining 15 credit hours can be completed from other graduate programs. Advisor approval is required for course selection.
