Master’s Program in Cinema and Television

Program Objective

With the emergence of internet-based audiovisual broadcasting systems, the traditional fields of Cinema and Television have started to transform and converge. While theoretical studies in this field continue, the increasing number of content providers has highlighted the need for parallel development in content production.

Turkey, being highly specialized in traditional Cinema and Television content production, now requires a skilled workforce with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in response to this media convergence.

The Işık University Master’s Program in Cinema and Television approaches Cinema, Television, and Converging Media as distinct yet interrelated disciplines, acknowledging the unique theoretical characteristics of each. The program aims to train professionals who can contribute to content production at a global standard and prepare them for employment in the evolving media landscape.
