Open Faculty Positions in Department of Civil Engineering / Open Faculty Positions in Civil Engineering Department

Işık University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences is planning a comprehensive expansion of its academic staff in line with its goals of excellence in education and leadership in research. For this purpose, faculty members will be recruited in different fields and levels within the next year in order to recruit faculty members with the potential to conduct research at the international level.

In the Department of Civil Engineering in the fields of transportation and construction management, priority will be given to those who are qualified candidates with specialized expertise.

Successful candidates will be eligible to start on or after August 2024. Applications should include an academic CV, research statement, teaching statement and the names and contact details of at least 3 references. Applications will continue to be accepted until the positions are filled.

At the beginning of each semester, the quotas regarding scholarships and discounts to be applied to students admitted to graduate programs are submitted for the approval of the UYK and the Board of Trustees with the recommendation of the Department Heads and the decision of the Graduate School Executive Board. 

Student admissions within the quotas released according to the Scholarship and Discount status within the scope of Academic Training Support are applied with the recommendation of the Department Heads and the decision of the Institute Administrative Board. 

The Academic Training Support includes full exemption from tuition fees, monthly net payment in an amount determined by the Board of Trustees, accommodation in dormitories or the opportunity to benefit from staff services, one meal a day and inpatient private health insurance.

Only students enrolled in thesis programs can benefit from the Academic Training Support.

The Academic Training Support is determined at the beginning of each semester upon the proposal of the Department Heads, the decision of the Graduate School Executive Board, and the approval of the University Executive Board and the Board of Trustees. Student admissions within the announced quotas according to the Scholarship and Discount status within the scope of the Academician Training Support are applied with the recommendation of the Department Heads and the decision of the Institute Administrative Board.
