Management Information Systems (Turkish)
In recent years, the use of information technologies in the business world has been continuously expanding, just as in many other fields. Along with these developments, the importance of interdisciplinary approaches and applications is increasing day by day both globally and in our country. The Management Information Systems (MIS) Program was established to address the shortage of skilled professionals in this field and to train individuals who will conduct research in this area.
In this program, students are taught business management and information technologies within an interdisciplinary framework. One of the main objectives of the Management Information Systems Program is to educate individuals who can develop information systems for the business world and use these systems effectively in management, enabling businesses to gain a competitive advantage.
To achieve this, students first learn fundamental concepts of computer technologies (such as programming, web design, and database management) and business management (such as economics, marketing, accounting, and finance). Later, through courses that integrate these two fields, students gain knowledge in areas such as system development, information systems management, e-commerce, and decision-making mechanisms.
Courses are supported by laboratory work and projects, allowing students to enhance both their theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Students who choose this program are expected to have an interest in computer technologies and business management.
To graduate from this program, students must complete 131 credit-hours of coursework and a long-term internship.
