Summer school is an intensive educational program conducted during the summer months.
No, it is optional. It is an opportunity for students who were unable to take a course during the semester for various reasons or who need to retake a failed course.

If the course is not offered at our university, you may take it at another institution as a private student, provided you meet the requirements.
Regulations on Taking Courses at Other Institutions (Article 19):
To take a summer course at another university, you must:
IMPORTANT: If these steps are not followed, summer school courses taken at another university will not be considered valid.
Courses offered during the summer term are determined based on academic evaluations by faculties and are announced on the university website.
You can take up to 18 ECTS credits in a single summer term with the approval of your academic advisor, in accordance with university regulations.

Scholarship students can receive the same percentage of their entrance scholarship in Summer School, except for those who qualify for the Semester Success Scholarship.
IMPORTANT: Courses that do not receive advisor approval will be considered invalid.
