YKS (Higher Education Institutions Exam) Registration

2024 YKS Registration Announcement

Dear Students,

The 2024 YKS registrations at our university can be completed via "E-Devlet" (e-Government), "Online," or "In-person" registration, based on your preference.

  • Electronic registration via e-Government will be available from August 19 to August 21, 2024, and is applicable to all newly admitted students.
  • E-Government registration is optional and not mandatory.
  • Students who prefer can visit our campuses from August 19 to August 23, 2024, to complete in-person registration.

E-Government Registration for Full-Scholarship Students

  • Full-scholarship students can log in to the e-Government system using their e-Government credentials, select Işık University’s registration section, and follow the registration steps.
  • After completing the e-Government registration, students must print the "Electronic Registration Certificate", which serves as proof of registration.
  • This document must be kept by the student and sent along with other required registration documents to the designated email group.
  • E-Government registrations will be finalized in the Student Information System within one day.
  • Students must email their YKS registration documents to 2024kayit@isikun.edu.tr for finalization.

Documents to be submitted via email:

  • Original High School Diploma (A photocopy will be taken after verification, and the original will be returned to the student.)
  • 1 Photo (Color photocopies or polaroid prints are not accepted.)
  • Photocopy of both sides of the Turkish ID Card/National Identity Card
  • Military Status Certificate (For students over 29 years old)
  • E-Government Barcode Registration Certificate
  • ÖSYM YKS Placement Results (Including program placement details)
  • ÖSYM YKS Exam Results Certificate


Registration for Students with Financial Obligations (50%-25% Scholarship & Fee-Paying Students)

  • Before registering via e-Government, students (except full-scholarship students) must complete their financial obligations.
  • Tuition fees can be paid via online payment or EFT/wire transfer.

  • After completing the payment, students can proceed with their e-Government registration the following day.
  • For remote registrations, students must email their YKS registration documents to 2024kayit@isikun.edu.tr for finalization.

English Proficiency and Placement Exams

For students admitted to English-medium programs or those who wish to enroll in the optional English Preparatory School, the placement and proficiency exams will be held as follows:

Important Reminder!!!

  •   Students who complete electronic registration must send their final registration documents to 2024kayit@isikun.edu.tr and submit the original documents to the Student Affairs Office at their respective campus (Şile/Maslak) between September 16-20, 2024.
  • Students who complete e-Government registration must print and keep their "Electronic Registration Certificate."

Students Who Cannot Register via E-Government
(Due to the absence of high school graduation records in the e-Government system)

  •  These students must complete their registration in person between August 19-23, 2024, at the campus where they will study.
  • Before arriving for registration, students must complete their payment using one of the following options:

  • Payments can also be made at Yapı ve Kredi Bankası A.Ş. booths located in Şile and Maslak campuses.

To avoid issues during registration, we recommend completing your payment before arriving at the campus.

Step 1: Decide on the registration method (Online? E-Government? In-Person?)

Step 2: Scan or take photos of the required documents and email them to 2024kayit@isikun.edu.tr with your ID number and full name. (Registrations cannot be completed without submitting the required documents.)

Step 3: If you are not a full-scholarship student, complete your financial obligations.

Step 4: Finalize your registration.
